Assisted Lymphatic Therapy is a gentle, light touch, non-invasive technique to encourage healthy lymphatic flow throughout the body. Utilizing the advanced XP2 system to combine gentle therapeutic movements, light, vibrational, and electrical waves, this specialized technology provides a deeper, more comprehensive lymphatic stimulation — making sessions more efficient and effective.
The XP2: Assisted Lymphatic Support Through Light and Gentle Current
The XP2 offers a different kind of lymphatic drainage session — instead of hands-on manual massage alone, two glass wands are passed slowly over the body, delivering a combination of light, sound, vibration, and a very mild electrical charge to the skin's surface.
How it works: The XP2 uses two glass tube wands filled with noble gases — Argon, Krypton, and Xenon — which are excited into a mild energy field, The practitioner passes the wands slowly over the body in a therapeutic patern. The XP2 device doesn't manipulate tissue the way manual lymphatic drainage massage does; instead, it applies a light vibration and energy field to the skin's surface.
A typical session: You'll rest comfortably on a massage table while the practitioner moves the glass wands across your body, typically focusing on areas near major lymphatic pathways, as well as major lymph node clusters. The therapy is painless, though some people notice a very mild static-like sensation, and most describe the overall experience as calming, similar to a light-touch massage. You must avoid application of lotions or oils to your skin beforehand so the device can make good contact with the skin.
What clients report: People often describe the XP2 as deeply relaxing, sometimes pairing it with manual lymphatic massage in the same session. Practitioners commonly position it as a complement to — not a replacement for — hands-on lymphatic work, particularly for areas that are harder to reach manually.
Where the science stands today: We want to be straightforward here. The "trapped protein" mechanism often cited for how the XP2 works — that electrical stimulation dissociates proteins stuck in tissue — is a description used within the practitioner community, not a mechanism established in peer-reviewed physiology or medical literature. There are no independent clinical trials on the XP2 device itself, and it is not FDA-cleared or approved to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition, including infections, edema, or immune disorders. Any claims you may see elsewhere about pathogen elimination, immune "boosting," or detoxification go beyond what current evidence supports, and we don't make those claims here. We offer the XP2 as a gentle, relaxing addition to bodywork — not a substitute for medical lymphedema treatment or immune care.
Is it right for you? Because it involves mild electrical stimulation, the XP2 is not appropriate for anyone who is pregnant, has a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, has active cancer, a seizure disorder, or acute deep vein thrombosis. If you have any of these conditions or a chronic health condition affecting your lymphatic or cardiovascular system, please check with your physician before booking.
